After five years as an instructor at Saratoga Guitar, studio owner George Fletcher decided to step out on his own to establish Saratoga Strings Guitar and Bass Lesson Center. Although no longer affiliated with Saratoga Guitar, he maintains a close relationship with them. Saratoga Guitar is highly recommend for your music retail, rental and instrument repair needs.Fletcher has since expanded his studios by acquiring his own building dedicated soley to musical instruction at 78 A-1 Church Street, Saratoga Springs. We have worked with students from as young as 6 years old through retirees in their 70s. For the younger ones, one or two "test" lessons will reveal a child's readiness for our program. Page 4We have typically offered private, one-on-one instruction, but now also schedule guitar and bass workshops offering specialized instruction, and offer an extracurricular "Band Bootcamp" program.Page 6Setting realistic goals and meeting them helps build self esteem in at-risk kids. It also helps them learn about commitment and how to express feelings and blow off steam in a non-destructive way. We also have experience with kids diagnosed with a variety of learning disabilities and attention disorders. Lesson schedules are tailored to suit each student's needs.People recovering from arm, hand, and even brain injuries can benefit from guitar or bass lessons through improvements in finger control, hand to eye and hand to hand coordination as well as concentration.Need more information?
